Well it's finally caught me. Went for my usual 5k run on Thursday with the start of a head cold and was ok but over last couple of days it's dropped onto my chest a bit, I'm coughing and it feels a bit tight. really want to go out but not sure if running when chesty is the best idea. Any advice?

They suggest rest if your cold spreads down below the neck. I would give yourself a few days to get over this.

Same for me except my last run was Friday. I don't actually have the energy to run, which makes the decision for me, though am feeling better than yesterday. Definitely won't be going to running club tomorrow either as I think that even if I've stopped coughing a short run first will be best. Annoying!

The one time of the year when I need to run off festive treats and I'm struck down grrrr. Will see how tomorrow goes and maybe try a short steady jog Thursday on the flat trail path. May just a 2-3k to keep me going and wrapped up x
