Just been out to do week 6 run 1 - first time I've run outside rather than on a treadmill on this attempt at C25k.
First observation is it might not have been a great idea to do the first run on a beach, absolutely beautiful but sand is tough to run on. My route on Garmin connect seems to think I got a bit wet too - and as you can see it involved a few loops after I got off the beach as I kept my quitting options open - didn't quit though, it's all about keeping going.
Like nearly everyone else I found it tougher than the twenty minute run two days ago but it's done now -

OMG first run on the beach!!! That's hardcore... it took me a long time to build up to be able to run on the beach!! But I love how strava shows I'm in the sea like yours did ( hee hee).... enjoy running outdoors you are lucky to have such a beautiful place to run, well done 😎
I found it a real struggle to be aware of the speed I was running at - my natural pace that I feel comfortable running at for short periods tires me out too quickly and I have to consciously slow myself down to last over distance - that's easy on a treadmill, much less so outside, even with a Garmin.
Most enjoyable bit of the run was the beach, it was lovely, but by the time I got to the end of that run and had to come back along the beach and onto tarmac I realised I'd probably taken more out of myself than I should have early on - everything after that was a real struggle.
Had to be done though - four weeks tomorrow I'll be up early to run towards the sunrise on Fort Myers beach in Florida - that's the target that keeps me going.
Well done. Running on sand must be very tough. Well done for getting out there though, lovely pics. Good luck with the rest of your programme. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻😀😀👏🏻👏🏻
Brilliant post and photo ! Really jealous , running on a beach. As others say only downside was as you say tough running on the sand !
