Firstly apologies for the late season's greetings & only catching up with all your amazing parkruns & photos. I'm afraid I slept in & missed both that I'd thought of as an option - so neither happened!
Today I decided to head to the local beach & just run. Of I went - it was beautiful & brilliant to run on a virtually deserted beach, beside the great waves of the Atlantic. Three wee streams to cross - no worries, socks became warm & shoes dried out fairly quickly. Listened to a podcast (spoken, nothing to do with running) felt I could run all day ..... until I turned to come back.
Whilst I'd been running the wind had picked up .... and up ..... and up! The sand was blowing into my eyes, the wind was so strong that every spit landed 5 meters behind me!
When the hail started I finally admitted defeat & walked the last 2k home. walking through streams is a lot more painful than running through them!!! (It was also frustrating as it would have been a 7k run, instead it was probably 4.5 / 5 plus a VERY long walkπ)
Happy running everyone!
