So after an amazing post grad run I came down with a raging kidney infection and have been in hospital for three days. Still in bed recovering on antibiotics and pain killers. So when I eventually get back into my trainers what should be the plan.... Start again ? Run and see how I go ? Heeelllpppp !!!!

Yikes! Poor old you. That was not in the plan, eh?

Take it easy and be very good to yourself. There will be plenty time for running when you're completely well.

I'm sure you won't need to start again. You could try a gentle run first (15 minutes or something) and see how you get on and then if that's fine, try 25 minutes the next time but don't worry if that seems too hard. On the other hand if it seems too easy, keep running and get to where you were when you left off.

Gentle hugs x

That's not how you're supposed to celebrate graduation! Poor you, that sounds really grim. Like AnneDroid wisely says, take it easy until you are completely better! The forum isn't going anywhere. I've heard similar advice on restarting - run gently, see how long it takes you, and build up from there. I hope you feel better soon xx
