Well done. That's superb. You must be really proud.

I've still at least 9 runs to go before I can get my shiny badge.

Keep up the good work. Not that long to go before you get your shiny badge!

Huge congratulations Graduate.. the badge is looking good... I have been a bit pre-occupied of late and have neglected folk a little. Sorry... :(

Well done you! You should be chuffed to bits.. bask in the glory for a while and then think of the way you want to go on.

I, like many of us still run three times a week wherever possible. I did, again like many of us quite a few runs for pure pleasure..no pressure, nothing! Running for joy!

Then I tried the C25K+ podcasts.. Stepping Stones one week, then Speed, then Stamina.. again, doing my own thing... I found Stepping Stones odd.. Speed and Stamina I loved. :) I still use those two, in runs or at the beginning or end of a run.. :) There are loads of things to try out there, depending which way you want your running path to take you :) Ask questions, you will get loads of ideas as time progresses.. my ideas.. well they are a bit way out, but fun!!!

My advice, just take your time, run because you can, focus on that, not necessarily distance or speed.. to start with anyway !

" Do not follow where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"

Looking forward to your first Post Graduate post :)

Thanks Oldfloss . I was thinking of doing the C25K+ podcasts and then follow that with 30 minute runs which I'll increase by 10% every week or so. I have signed up for an event next year in June which is a 10K event in the French Alps, in Chamonix, and want to make sure I am 100% fit so I can really enjoy it.

I've only got my badge the other day and tried to explain to my family what it meant to me but I think only C25K runners understand the true value of it :)

Yes my husband was like, 'so show me your badge'? I said to him, 'it's there, online, for the whole world to see'. Not sure he got it...although I know he is very proud of me. And I was really happy he was there when I did my graduation run yesterday :-). Now it's the next part of the journey. What did you do 500miles ? C25K+ podcasts? Another programme? Would love to hear what you did next and what worked / didn't.

I am no sure about my next steps to be honest... I know I will stick to running 3x a week but now I want to make each run a 5k run however long it takes. I am thinking about starting a 10k programme soon but haven't looked into it properly yet. Let me know what you decide to do 😊

in reply to 500miles

I am thinking of doing the C25K+ podcasts and the switch it up with some running, adding 10% of time each week. Today will be my first post graduation run and think I'll go out for 30 mins, without Laura, and see how it goes. Wish me luck ;-)

Sounds like a good plan!

I have been using my own playlist since week 7. Once I even listened to an audio book 😊

Good luck today!! Happy running 😊

Ran with my nephew in the end - he is visiting from the Netherlands. He is doing a similar programme but is a few weeks behind me so I ran / walked with him which was fun.

Sounds like fun! I am trying hard to get my mum and sister on the programme! It would be so nice to do a parkrun or any kind of run with them :)

Congratulations BarbaraK and welcome to the other side where the shiny badge is hoisted high for all to see :-) There's a whole bunch of us on here who have just graduated (I got my badge last week) so it's going to be fun to see who does what and to try out some new things.

in reply to CarolStr

Congrats CarolStr ! How are you getting on now that you have graduated? Hope well!

You could also join the 'Beyonders' Beyond C25k Facebook group. Have a look at the 'events' page and see who's doing what next year. You could enter a 10k event in 2017 and meet up with some actual C25kers (It's fun..)

Thanks for the tip. I have requested to join :-)
