I really enjoyed this run. I found the first five minutes went really quickly then when I was coming to the end of the three minute walk I was itching to get running again. I had been warned not to try to go faster so I kept a slow, steady and comfortable pace.
However there were hundreds of little midges probably because it was damp and the path is lined by hedgerows and bushes. I had to keep blinking and swiping them off my face then I took a deep breath and caught one right in my throat! A coughing fit subsequently ensued...but I managed to keep running even if I was all over the place.
Perhaps I need to find a new route quicker than I thought.
Anyway I really enjoyed this run and wish all my next runs were repeats of this one

I'm glad you took the advice of others who have done w1r6 and you stayed at a nice steady pace all he way through to completion. As for the midges...maybe wear one of those masks that surgeons wear!?
Haha yes I was thinking of that too! (maybe not ) And yep you did warn me not to try to go too fast and I think that helped a lot and made it enjoyable rather than worrying about increasing speed.
Yes I'm glad you did that and therefore had no problems. I really struggled with the same run and I think it's because I went into it so confident after completing the 20 minutes non-stop run, that I went off like a bull at a gate and nearly paid the price for doing so!
