After graduating last week I was determined to try to reach 5k. I run so slowly I didn't even reach 4K in 30 minutes so I knew this was going to be quite a challenge. My husband and our dog ran with me and we ran our local Parkrun route. Amazingly I did it! It took me 43 minutes but I didn't stop. The dog didn't even break into a trot I was so slow, but I feel so proud of this achievement. My husband treated me to brunch at the rather nice cafe in the hall afterwards to celebrate! Here I am at the finish line.
Finally...5k! π: After graduating last week I... - Couch to 5K
Finally...5k! π
That's fantastic. Congratulations.
What a great photo! Well done
Congratulations, you look really happy and rightfully so, you must feel so proud of yourself for completing the 5k park run. I am on w6r1, so a way to go yet, but I am hoping to complete my first park run in late December. Here's to your next one!
Brilliant run, and a brilliant photo! Wish I looked so good after a run teehee!
Sounds like Parkrun is for you shortly do you think?
ps I'd be happy with that time, already a couple of minutes quicker than meππ
I would love to do Parkrun, I just need to build up my confidence a bit first. Our local one seems to have a lot of fast club runners and the slowest person always seems to have a faster time than me! I'm aiming to do the Christmas one I think.
Well done to you π
Well done, and fab photo βΊ
Mr Von99 here!
She did so well, very determined and as you have all noticed a big smile to finish.
Looking fresh as well, congrats! π
Lovely photo well done. I do a very slow jog 5K park run in 45 mins. But I am 62 next week and there's age difference to consider so according to calculations I apparently did it in 35 mins ππππ
Fabulous π
Congratulations well done!!!
Well done well done well done! What a brilliant picture.
That's fantastic, and faster than my first PR! Your smile says it all!
