Hello all,

Just wanted to share with those who are still in the 9week journey. I’ve completed the C25K three weeks ago.

Today was my 9th consolidation run. I’ve been running for 30 minutes each of the runs.

Today I pushed myself a bit further and ran 5K in 38 minutes.

Yes, it’s slow. Yes, it’s not under 30 minutes. Yes, other runners were overtaking me.

But this morning at 7am I finally ran MY 5K. Feels incredible.

Listen, if I can do it, you definitely can. Let’s all keep going. We’re strong.

That is so great! Well done. I would do 5k in about the same time but as yet haven't run more than 30mins. I'm aiming for doing exactly what you've done one day... 🏃‍♀️👍

Well done for pushing on to 5k especially with it so warm, also the time it took you doesn’t matter, 5K is an achievement in itself, well done 🥳

Congratulations! I just graduated Friday, and had not hit 5k. I think someone told me once that less than 10% of all people completing this programme do at that point? For me it was about getting that 30 minutes under my belt, and could not be happier. Each of the runs has been getting a titch faster, and am going to keep working on that during my consolidation runs, and would be lovely to get to that 5k mark. That is my new goal.

Congratulations on completing the programme! Yes, in 2 years’ time it won’t matter whether you did 5k in 30 or 40 minutes at this stage, the most important thing would be that you kickstarted your athlete career:)
