PB and a teddy cuddle

That's me in the pink. We smashed our best time by about 2 mins as its a flat, fast course. Was that excited forgot to stop my watch but it was 29 mins something for the 5k so we were mega happy. Had a sports massage afterwards - why did no-one warn me how painful those are lol! Thanks for the encouragement this morning guys...kept thinking about it on the way round. Need a new challenge now.

Well done! You both look very fresh for just having run 5K!!

And as for the next challenge...I saw on FB this evening that they have a new 10k event in December in Dungannon, I've already signed up!

Lol, pic was before the race. Cant find the Dungannon event as dont have FB. Is there a website? We are considering it once our legs recover.

Yep, here runher.co.uk/newsstory.asp?... I've signed up to motivate me to keep running once the dark nights really kick in!

Brilliant! I think we will probably go for this too as its just long enough away to do a few decent weeks training. Obviously we can already do 5k but not sure what plan to follow to get us up to 10? Have you used the one on the Runher site?

Probably shouldn't say this but before my 1st 10k when I ran the whole thing I'd only run 5k by myself beforehand! Wasn't a great time but still managed it! It's about 6 weeks from now so I'm sure there's plans online that can aim for that and if not there's absolutely no shame in walk breaks.

We signed up and started an 8 week 10K plan from the runningbug.com tonight. Its nice to be back on a program - takes the should I/should I not go out tonight out of the equation. Good luck with your training! Just need to buy trail shoes now 🏃‍♀️
