Wow this running really is so addictive. Sob story now.....still off with back problems but had a chiro session last night, Pilates tonight and hopefully after a rest on Thursday I will complete week 7 on Friday. I can't believe how frustrated I am at not being able to get out there and finish week 7 which was cut short. I can't even bear to look at other runners! I am so pleased for everyone on here who was at the same stage getting thru the weeks and looking on the positive side I will have new friends that have caught up with me due to my weeks rest......!! Ok so sob story over. Hope to be posting a more upbeat post Friday. Have a great week everyone.
Need a cuddle......;) : Wow this running really... - Couch to 5K
Need a cuddle......;)
Cuddle Cuddle given. Hope your back inmproves soon so you can get back out there.
Isnt it odd how some mornings you have to literally kick your own bum out the door and as soon as you cant do a run you get frustrated and antsy ?
Hope your running on Friday as planned
*Big Hugs!
You will still be on the same week as us in spirit, and we will support you through to graduation. I have had back/neck problems and I know how frustrating it is to be let down by your body when your motivation is so strong. You will be back on track before you know it. All the very best, and stay positive
*big hugs* try not to feel dejected, Nelly, you'll be out there running - and enjoying it - again soon enough; no matter what stage you're at, we'll be here to encourage you along! Hope you feel lots better soon!
Sending a C25k hug.... Good luck for getting out there on Friday...I hope your back feels better soon...
Thanks everyone I know you understand how I feel - it really is an amazing bug we have all caught........running! Hopefully my frustration will make you all appreciate the good days when your health, mind and body are all in good shape! Love this forum xx ps still being a rookie couldn't figure out smiley faces so here is mine :))
I think it must have happened to most of us at some point during the 9 weeks. It's extremely frustrating but you just have to sit it out and try to be patient. You might have to re-run some runs but the important thing is that get back to running once again, gently easing yourself back into it
I got crocked 3 times in the 9 weeks, once my ankle, then I fell off a ladder and then I fell down stairs and skinned my back. I'm not running now cos I got injured again. I had to walk the dog this morning and I hobbled round the park. I have entered a race, so downtime is an added frustration.
So, you're not alone. We can keep each other chirpy
That's the good thing miss wobble about this forum that everyone has been thru similar experiences so I know I am not alone! I have a race planned too for 15th June but I know realise that getting my back right is priority as I can always walk the 5k! Thanks for the support and encouragement. Xx
