Well I've just gone out and bought my first ever pair of running shoes (Asics Gel Pulse 8) for my first run of week 3... the only reason was that I went out on my cycle ride and within a minute or two the rain was coming down in stair rods, complete with flashes and bangs. I can't believe I got so wet so quickly. I've also noticed that I under-pronate when I walk (wear on outside edge of shoes, etc). Does it naturally follow that I'll also under pronate when I run?

Many of us have found the gait analysis in running shops very helpful and they can suggest the best shoes.

I believe my local running shop Decathlon used to have this service but alas no longer. I was advised by a very helpful young man however.
