Well after it took 7 attempts to conquer W5 R2 I was expecting this run to be a tricky one. I set off in a positive frame of mind and kept remembering the mantra....slow down....and then slow down some more!
The first 5 mins were by far the most difficult and then I just seemed to find my rhythm and it was fine. More than fine! I could still chat comfortably to my running buddy and in fact we were so busy gossiping we were a little shocked when the lovely Laura told us it was done! We thought we had another 5 mins to go!!!
Bring on week 6 π

Now there's a week 5 run 3 post and a half! Well done you! You're really on your way now. The first 12 minutes are what I need to really find my stride, it's lovely when the rhythm just seems to find you isn't it - that sounds like the most fantastic run. Enjoy week 6
Thank you! I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the run! I'm convinced that my W5 R2 problems were down to me going too fast and the gremlins screaming failure in my ear....
No more gremlins! I have W9 R3 in my sights and am going for it π
Weldone mariamc67 , great achievement. You seem to have sorted those gremlins well and truly!
Wow that's amazing, congratulations π I completed it as well today but it wasn't as easy as yours but well done after you taking 7 attempts at w5 r2. Bring on wk 6 for you and me too.....
Congratulations to you too! Running for 20 mins straight is a huge achievement and especially when it's tough going. Bring on week 6....we're over half way now π
