I've struggled all week to get runs in and in week 5 as well. The first one was quite easy admittedly done on a treadmill, the second was a bit of a struggle in all honesty but it got done in the middle of a freezing downpour. So onto the infamous 3rd run which had been postponed due to work commitments and a night away. The first 5 minutes flew by i was getting into it. Then the next 5 were probably the worst a real struggle running into the wind and on uneven trails that have turned to well just bumpy mud really but I powered on. Then the halfway bell I'd done 10 a whole minutes and was buoyed by this for a short while until my legs started to burn but I slogged on, I swear there were tortoises going faster as I had to slow down but I kept on jogging. Suddenly a voice in my head it was an angel telling me 2 minutes left (bless you Jo Whiley) and there was a surge of adrenalin/relief/second wind and i was elated it was like running on air for the last bit of it absolutely buzzing as I was told to slow down but keep up a walk. I had this stupid massive smile all over my face honestly the poor dog walkers.

Great job... some runs take mental strength and you had that by the truckload... be very proud.
Slow and steady into week 6 and you got this.
Well done indeed! Sometimes tough runs are the most rewarding. Roll on week 6
How amazing! It is so GREAT to achieve and feel strong! And realize ANYthing is possible! 😁
Good luck and happy running!
Well done. I always find the first 5 minutes the worst it’s just so hard to get my legs working even after a very brisk 5 minute warm up walk. The one thing that helps me is the talking books I have taken to listening to. I am obviously easily bored with just running and find that a big mental. challenge . Perhaps as I get better I will be able to simply enjoy the run itself
too right you had the smile. what a feeling it is to do that run. good luck with the remaining weeks
