Started 3 weeks ago while on holiday. 48 and overweight. Not run since school days and loving the couch to 5k programme. Partner and I started it together and both enjoying the road to getting fitter, healthier and happier. Have been reading posts but not spoken up until now. Just wanted to say what a supportive and caring community this is and thanks for the inspirational posts.

Welcome and thanks for posting. You won't find a friendlier or more supportive bunch of people on the internet. Congratulations to you and your partner on making it to week 4.

Welcome Tilly and partner! How nice to tackle the programme together.

Good luck with week 4!

I also started 3 weeks ago and completed w3 r3 today, with my hubby as well!! I was going to do it myself but then he wanted to join as well. It is nice having company. I hated cross country at school as I couldn't run😡 not sure how w4 will go but I am going to give it my all and all the encouragement on here is well received. Good luck to you and your hubby, look forward to hearing your progress

You're braver than me. I hung around for 5 weeks before I bit the bullet and wrote my first post. Wish I hadn't waited that long! How great that you and your partner are doing it together. Great to have someone to bounce off (not literally) ;) especially when it's been years since doing any running. Good luck going through the programme. It is truly a fantastic journey :)

Thanks everyone for lovely welcome and warm wishes. 5k seems a long way away but trust in the wisdom of Laura!
