Pulled hamstring 😓

Just done W2 R1 and in the first 90 second run I pulled my hamstring, I managed to carry on and complete the whole session but hamstring is hurting. Did some stretches when I got home. Is there anything else I can do? Should I do stretches before the warm up walk before my next run? Any guidance will be very much appreciated, thanks

Hi Janec25K. Sorry to hear you pulled your hammy. Is it bad or just soreness from doing the increased run? I would give it time to heal before getting back out there. We're still so new to this, I would hate you getting discouraged and hurting from injury so early on. That's my two cents at least. As for the stretching before, it's mixed reviews if it's actually benefital when your muscles are cold. I always do my stretches as soon as I get back from my cool down walk, but that's just me. Thanks for the advice. It's not too bad just feeling like a dull ache at back of my thigh, will ice it later if still feeling it. It's rest day tomorrow so will see how it goes, thanks

Also, you may want to ice it.
