Second pulled hamstring in 5 weeks. Now in week 6 of c25k, but have to keep stopping the running. Driving car painful on buttocks. I do stretches but feel hamstrings tight.

Sorry, I can't advise really except to say it's not a good idea to continue running when you are injured...have you seen your doc? Or Googled your symptoms? That's what I'd do. Hope you fell better soon xx
Thanks for your reply. I did mention it to go but nothing really gained. Yes i do check on line. Think it's the usual rest, ice, elevate etc, but so frustrating when i want to increase running.
Yes, most of us have been injured, it IS frustrating to sit on the couch, I've had shin splints, Achilles tendonitis, and a torn knee ligament, but better a short sit than a long one! Ibuprofen gel is good for running injuries. Hope you feel better soon xx
That sounds painful and I can imagine your frustration being stuck on the IC. Hope it gets better soon, so you can ease back into running
Thanks for your reply. I walked a bit on the treadmill this morning then did a few runs/jogs of just one minute. Would have loved to have done more but i can feel the hamstring really tight and didn't want to risk it. Anyway it's a start! There was a woman on the treadmill on an incline walking backwards. This was new to me- it was exercising to strengthen her knees as she had knee surgery. Very interesting.
