Not run for 8 days and am fed up!

Well after all the ups and downs of my journey on C25K and my elation at finally graduating, I am again on the injury couch this time - nope not the ankle or the knees, but a severe infected rash under my arm! (Was going to post a photo, but I think that would be too much for you!)

The antibiotics are taking a hold of it now, but I cannot even walk without getting sore due to friction so no way I can run! Not sure what has caused it, someone mentioned friction burns from running, I don't think it's that I am a tortoise as you will know, so I don't think my jogging would cause it.

It's really frustrating with these lovely sunny mornings that I am not up and running, so I am I envy of you all that are up and out early! 😎

Just wondered if anyone had ever suffered from friction burns under their arms - could that be possible? I am a larger lady so have a lot of flesh to cause it, but it's only one arm no one seems to know what it is.

Oh well off to walk to work to at least keep me exercising a bit!

Happy sunny Wednesday 😎😊

Hi RC, if it does turn out to be because of chaffing, or just because it's a great product anyway to have in the cupboard to prevent general chaffing and soreness, try Body Glide, it's available from Amazon and Wiggle and so on and being none messy, easy to wash off and above all works really well, is absolutely brilliant!

Oh dear! It will be sore but the medication kicks in fast! I have had two recent bouts of infected excema on my hands. Mine gets worse fter a run when my hands get hot and sweaty. You have to be careful what you bathe in, you really do. I would leave off deodorant too

When the sting has gone out of it you should be good to go. Wear a vest top 😊for more air circulation

Good luck with it ☺

Thanks all, will definitely get some body glide - not sure I'm brave enough for a vest top yet but will consider this, hoping this time next week I will be back in my running shoes! 😅
