Hello - well I haven't posted for a while, it's been a bit of a marathon these past couple of months and I have only completed the odd run here and there since the end of summer. Holiday, illness and workload have all played a part and I've used them as an excuse not to run. Now it's getting colder and motivation is out the window. I HAVE to get back on track.
I only graduated in July.....so the question is should I start from week one, leaving one rest day between runs? I don't want to risk injury as a newish graduate with not many consolidation runs under the belt do you think this the best way forward? Really appreciate your thoughts and advice. Happy running

Hi I’d say it’s a good idea to start from week 1 again as you haven’t run in 3 months which is more than the length of c25k. This time try and find something to motivate you to keep running. For me this is parkrun, I honestly don’t think I’d still be running 18 months later without it. Happy running to you too 😊
Week 3 seems to be the consensus, you can monitor and leap forward or back a week. Don’t be put off by the time of year, I’m loving running in cool bright days. If you’re going outside don’t wear too many thick clothes, thin layers easily removed are best then you can work out what’s best for you
You need to be careful staring up again to avoid injury, as running is high impact. You’ll have a desire to get back to what you did when you graduated, that’s only natural
Week 3 as a restart point is as good as any.
As in the beginning don’t try to go to fast too soon.
Focus on getting out the door and giving yourself the time to run. Build up the runs, you may even be able to skip some runs. But don’t go to fast or you will injury yourself.
Thanks Noel - I definitely don’t want to get injured. I’m going to go back to basics. Hydration, take it slow and stretch. Rest days and build from there. Week 3 it is then.
Thanks for the advice. Not sure what to wear on really chilly days. Think I need to look at my running gear and get something that’ll work for winter runs.
I’m still in knee length legs - find they look after themselves. T-shirt, thin long sleeve with zip, v thin wind proof jacket and fine down to zero, below zero I need to add gloves and hat, but I’ve no walking intervals and running much longer time. Good luck
