...dangerous I know. Thinking whatever next?

Sad to say I am ditching Laura again to get me through week 8, I really have a problem with the time checks - though I have found the Julie song so have added to my play list so I am not missing out :b

Anyway how do people pick their running play lists?

I don't go by tempo I just go by what makes me smile and what I think I will need at a given point. So something to warm me up and then I like a loooooong song for that initial hard slog Meat Loaf generally fits the bill there, then what ever takes my fancy, a woohooo song for near then end when I know I will flagging and something for the warm down.

Mainly a mix of rock and metal with a little bit of cheese thrown in.

Any good songs suggestion?

Any Running appropriate songs/song titles anyone can think of?

Here's some idea:

Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden (er has run in the title)

Its so easy - Guns and Roses (cause you know it running really is getting easier)

Hush - Deep Purple (to remind us to hush our breathing by controlling it)

Good to be alive - Slash's Snakepit (cause you know it really is)

And if you get into difficulties, it's also the song we were taught to sing on a first aid course if giving CPR. Win win I'd say!!

Cheese. Now this is my department; an unashamed love of cheesy pop and dance. Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. (Because, well, why the hell not?!)

Timber by Pitbull and Ke$ha. (I find it motivating, at least....)

Tik Tok by Ke$ha. (In fact, anything by her really)

Gangnam Style. (Just because.........)

Other people tend not to ask me to playlist for them......

Everlong - The Foos

Girl From Mars - Ash

And I snuck in Born To Run, the Frankie Goes To Hollywood version :)

Something I've found works well for me is to put a couple of shorter and slightly faster songs at the end. It helps to push you along for those final, tough (well, for me) 5 minutes or so. Plus, mentally, you know you only have a couple of short songs left before you can stop running!

Not what you're looking for?
