I'm back!

I have tried C25K twice before, most recently at the beginning of this year when I got to the start of week 4 then tore/strained something in my right lower leg and decided to let it recover so I could go skiing, with the intention to restart. Of course that never happened and then at the beginning of April I suffered a heart attack. Well, I am pleased to share with anyone who is remotely interested that I started the programme again last month and this evening I completed Week 4. Even better, my daughter is also doing c25K with me, and it's great for both of us to be able to encourage each other.

Your username makes a lot of sense after reading your post. Very scary. You are a strong person being back on the programme so soon after a heart attack. I hope you are taking good care of yourself.

To offer you some encouragement, I had a heart attack on 3rd March 16 and I completed my graduation run last Tuesday so it can be done. Just go at your own pace.

I also completed my first park run last Saturday with a time of 32.09. ( I was ecstatic with my time) The couch to 5 k is the one positive thing to come out of having the heart attack. It has honestly changed my life and made me a more positive healthy person.

Good luck with the rest of your couch to 5km journey

Fantastic, well done! I've already registered for the local Park Run as we decided we needed something to aim for. We are already discussing "what next" too! Thanks for the encouragement!

You have been through so much but you sound like a positive strong person. I am sure you will complete this programme and reap all the benefits. Lovely to be able to do this with your daughter and support each other. Enjoy the journey and keep posting so we can wave out pompoms for you and cheer you to the finish tape.☺
