After 5 days off due to early starts for days out I was due to to W5R3 but i was convinced id have undone all my hard work after having such a long break - I had been doing every other day.
I found it so much better than my first attempt and even managed a small increase in speed on the last 60seconds just to see if I could!
5 weeks ago I would have laughed in the face of anyone that told me A) I'd manage to run 8 minutes in a row twice, and B) that I'd enjoy it ! And I really did !
I've got W5R3 scheduled for Thursday and then my first ever park run on Saturday. Slightly nervous about that tho as coming last is never fun but honestly looking forward to it.
Officially have the running bug !
Thank you all , reading your posts everyday has really kept me going and kept me interested in it and it's starting to pay off !

If we could bottle that feeling and sell it we would make a fortune. You're doing brilliantly, you're ready for the next run, just run very, very slowly and then be prepared to feel even more fabulous 🤗 when you've done it.
It's lovely to read posts like yours and feel that awakening love for running in yet another person! Well done on coming this far and lots of luck with your parkrun. You will love it!😀
I remember that nervous feeling after more than a couple of days off (like somehow you'd have wiped out the last few weeks and be back to puffing after 60 seconds)! And then the amazing feeling that actually the rest had done you the power of good and you are actually 'enjoying' it. Good luck for Thursday and have a fabulous park run on Saturday
Well done ! It's amazing how this programme helps us progress isn't it? Enjoy the run tomorrow. I did this one last week - was a bit anxious before hand - but somehow the 20 minutes just went!
