W6 R3

Well, it's done. That's about the best I can say. Laura asked me to give it all I had for the last minute, but I'd used up my reserves long before that & was struggling along on empty. Found the wind tough tonight, was at our back on the first section, pushing us along too fast, then turning round at halfway point running straight into it - nightmare! Think we might need to find a more sheltered place to run than an exposed sea front prom as we head into Autumn. Onwards to week 7 now though, hope the wind dies out for Wednesday ☺

  • Week 7 is a dream! You've already run for 25 minutes so you know you can do it :) And from the sound of it, you know you can do it against the odds! That was a toughie but even running on empty you beat it. You're doing brilliantly :)

  • Thank you for the vote of confidence 😊

  • You went out, you ran :) All that matters is you did it... well done :)

A new more sheltered route could be the way to go... sea fronts at the best of times can be windy... love them, but for promenading on...not running! :)

I am out early, here in France.. because of the heat... this weather, problems with it, in so many ways... but we are doing it, regardless:)

Week 7, here you come... getting closer to that finishing line :)

  • Hi Oldfloss, enjoy your holiday & thank you

  • Snap, I completed week 6 this morning - Laura says we're officially runners now!

  • Hi Louisa, well done! I felt a bit of a fraud when she said it as I as struggling so much at the end. If she'd actually been there with me I don't think she would have said it lol

  • Course she would! You didn't stop did you? That means you're a runner πŸ˜ƒ

  • Well done.

  • Thank you

  • Running against the wind like that is tough ! Sounds like you have done really well and you are now on the home stretch of non stop runs. I loved week 7 ! Oh and I never had the energy to speed up for that last minute and used to tell Laura so in no uncertain terms . After all she wants us to finish,,

  • Hi Hillary, after last night run I'm reserving judgement on Week 7 til it's done and dusted. Hopefully it's a week I look back on fondly, but that might just be because I find weeks 8 & 9 harder lol

  • Hurrah! Well done and it sounded tough in all that wind :-) Onwards indeed. Sounds like a great place to run though along by the sea front though. What a lovely view that must be :-)

  • Great work. Not all runs are easy and the tricky ones can sneak up on you when you least expect it. You overcame those pesky gremlins and did it. Focus on that and be ready to move on to week 7. You'll smash it. Only 9 more runs until graduation!

  • Some days are like that. Dunno why. But look at all the days you nailed! It's those ones that are now "normal" πŸ€—πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ
