W6/R3..disaster averted!

Happy Saturday all

Was excited about my run today (usual pre-run nerves aside) and set up a good, banging playlist and couldn’t wait to get out there. Changed my route completely as felt I could branch out now I’m at end of w6.. off I went. Past the sheep and cows and sunshine blazing down, got into such a wonderful rhythm which made me smile with enjoyment.. then, disaster struck!! My worst nightmare whilst running on this programme, my phone conked out!!!! Music stopped dead, no Jo, nothing! DON’T PANIC I was reciting in my head!

My phone was lodged into a tiny little pocket in my running leggings in the small of my back zipped up. It’s a struggle getting it in there, try getting it out whilst running!! After some scrambling about I got hold of it, black screen of death. Nothing. Tried to turn it off and on, couldn’t do anything with it. Suddenly my music came on into my headphones but phone remained black. NO APP 😭. I remembered looking at it earlier before I left, 5 walk -10 run but after that I couldn’t remember. I recalled two lots of 10 mins after the 5 mins and assumed 3 min breaks in between so using my trusty garmin I timed myself. Talk about feeling out on a limb!!

Just goes to show how much we rely on our running coaches to motivate us.. I love Jo, please don’t leave me again!!!

My phone is now ok...typical! I wonder if it got too hot next to my body -iPhone XR, anyone else had this?

No idea if I’ve done this according to the plan but proud I didn’t give up and did the 25 minute with some breaks.

Happy weekend everyone! X

Well done for getting through the run with your phone problem 👍

You say you don't know if you did it according to the plan , well, I wouldn't worry too much as you will now do it again 3x on week 7 😁👍

I haven’t had any major phone problems - Samsung 😇 - but on two occasions, Sanjeev seemed to go AWOL at the end of the run.

Week 7 for me too, starting tomorrow. Good running!
