Thanks for waiting on the podium for me, I very proud, stunned and downright amazed that I graduated with a 5k this morning ππΈπΈπΈπΈππππ
What a fab programme and what a fab forum.
As for the run, well it was just a bit hot wasn't it??
My local Parkrun at Woodley was having a pacer day. If you don't know what that is, there are various runners who commit to running at a particular pace hopefully to encourage personal bests from the other runners. Well they ranged between 20 minutes to 33 minutes and a 1 minute run, 1 minute walk. Well I didn't have big ideas, just wanted to finish ahead of the walkers π
I went off too fast , the magnitude of the moment going to my head a little, but soon got into my stride except I found myself racing to get to each shady bit! I managed to run the whole distance and despite having to stop and tie my shoe lace (!) I did it in 34:41. That's me, a nearly 52 year old woman, who was 3 stone over weight (now only 1 stone to go) and has NEVER run before. I feel amazing and that's not just because of my celebration Sloe Gin and tonic πΈπΈπΈπΈπππππ cheers m'dears xxxx
