Well was feeling good and decided to run 5km on the treadmill and did it in a time of 41:28! Got to do this outdoors now and I'll be satisfied

Then for the 10km goal!

Yes it does count but are you following the program?

24 days ago you posted that you'd done wk1 day 1 so should be on about wk4 now?!

Mmm yes I'm a bit off plan as the early weeks were a bit easy for me. I do play club level squash so not new to running about the place albeit short hard sprints. I may drop back to week 6/7 and complete them and see where I stand before doing week 9

If you can do that then do you need c25k? It's for new runners really, I suspect you're not with that time & reaching 5k. If you do go outside you may well find it harder so take care and take it easy or you could be on the road to injury..😊

Probably don't need to follow the program strictly as I first imagined. I do play club squash regularly but that's usually short sprint intervals. I needed something to extend my running range and get a bit fitter as I've never been good at distance running.

Like you say its different outside with varying gradients, weather etc, I just wanted piece of mind before I went out that I could do the distance and work out a pace that's comfortable yet challenging.

Well done! Yes, just build up, as you go on it seems like the bridge to 10k & marathon running & race support forums would be ideal for you in my communities then browse communities..
