I'm hoping to do a slow 30 mins on the treadmill, no distance planned just hoping for. 30 mins after my previous 2 failures. Having said that I already feel bad for opting for an indoor run
Wish me luck: I'm hoping to do a slow 30 mins on... - Couch to 5K
Wish me luck
Good luck Tom, sure you'll be fine
And s run is a run no matter if indoors or out 😅
So, you're about to run for 30 minutes and you feel bad??!!! You're a graduate, you've done the programme, you've got your badge and you can do what the vast majority of the population can not do. You should feel epic.
Running is running and it doesn't matter where you do it. Make sure you have a really motivating playlist in your ear, run very slowly and just keep telling yourself you are amazing because you are!
Nothing wrong with the treadmill Tom. They are *incredibly* useful and don't let anyone tell you otherwise
Good luck!
Just think... when you're doing your 30 minute run, if you're struggling you can simply knock the speed down a touch so you're more comfortable and complete the run with no bother. That's the beauty of the treadmill
Thank you people. I did manage 30 mins and 4K as I set it at 8km/hr with a 5 min warmup/cool down either side. It was hard getting past that 15 mins but I am soooo pleased that I managed it after the last 2 abandoned rums
Well done Tom, feels good doesn't it?!
I did my 3rd run after graduation tonight and I went thinking even if I run for 20 mins that will be fine, once I got into a nice steady pace I managed 33 min run 😬 I think it's because I went with no misconceptions of what I was going to manage to do and I think you were the same tonight, that you'd run for 30 mins regardless of pace and distance
Onwards and upwards for you now Tom 👍
I dream of running for 30 mins - I'm struggling to get past 17 without having to walk for a minute to get my breath back. I'm impressed you can do it are all never mind where! I hear a lot about slowing down though. It's confusing as no matter how slow I try to go I always get to the same places in the same time. Clearly I'm not fit enough to do enough running for the 5k but if I go any slower, I almost start tripping over my feet.
