Newfound love !

Have just returned from a week in Thetford Forest where, as planned I continued my C25K journey, and have successfully moved onto week 3 earlier than I thought I would be able to. My new love is running through the forest, I'm jealous of anyone for whom this is their regular running location. Soft underfoot, cool beneath the trees, yes we even had some sunshine! It was peaceful and I felt so relaxed as I knew no-one was watching apart from a few squirrels and a deer I think I glimpsed briefly. I never thought I'd want to move home but if it were close to a forest I might consider it. Run1 of week 3 felt so easy, wonder how run 2 will feel back on home ground. Do I go for soft grass and boring circuits of the park or uneven gravel and at least a nice view on the sea wall? May have to see how my feet feel in the morning.

I am so lucky as I have the woods on my doorstep, and you are right, it's the best to run in, I look forward to it every weekend .....

And the view of the sea sounds good. My best suggestion is to keep it fresh and mix up where you go, find new routes etc. I bet you there may be some woods near to you where you live???

Sadly none that are big enough and/or accessible 😞 We will just have to take the caravan to the woods every weekend 😀😀

Great plan.. go you. We are home bound currently, because of building work..my little tin tent keeps sighing when I walk past it.. it wants to take us out in it :)

They do like to go out don't they. Hopefully you will get away soon.

Sea wall is maybe a misleading label! But the view across the marshes is quite inspiring.

Well done - that sounds lovely and one of the pleasures of running is to be able to do it in different surroundings.

Why not mix it up a bit at home, nice to have different things to look at.
