Since starting this whole (wince at the use of the word) journey I've definitely taken the scenic route; I've started the program about 3 times since January and not actually completed it yet. Since the start I've struggled with the idea of being a runner, always reluctant to call myself one and desperate for conformation that I am one. Well I've been stuck on the injury couch with a badly sprained and swollen ankle and I've learnt something - I am most definitely a runner! How do I know? Because I'm bored senseless and mega frustrated! I just want to run! I just want to be outdoors, I'm sick of being told to rest and I'm sick of having a blank pages in my training diary. But am I a runner? You bet your ass I am! Xx
