Well mostly anyway. I hadn't run since Wednesday when my hamstring went twang. Lots of RICE and I ventured out today intending to try a short run. It was brilliant. No PBs, No massive distances just a lovely gentle run. I walked up some hills as there is no point in pushing it too soon after injury. I kept my stride shorter than normal, tried picking up my heels a bit more on the hills and apart from the odd twinge to make sure I remembered it was a recovery run I felt great.
Felling absolutely brilliant now. I LOVE RUNNING.
Splits below
Split Time Distance Avg Pace
114:21.6 1.61 8:55
211:28.0 1.61 7:08
310:17.2 1.61 6:23
49:30.7 1.15 7:38
Summary45:37.45.98
The 3rd one was a bit faster than I'd like but including a longer warm up and down I'm really H A P P Y
Hope you all have great runs today and for those on the IC there is light at the end of the tunnel just take care of yourselves and thank you all for your brilliant help and suggestions.

Well done GF! So**ing injury couch! I'd give it a good kick!
Glad to hear you're back out there and gently getting back into it. It's a nice day today, well hereabouts anyway. I'm just off out now to knock off a 7 k. I could be gone for some time
I'm back! Did it. It was only a slow jog but that suits me down to the ground. It was hot!!!!
Got back in, had a cuppa WATER!!! Yuk Downloaded Garmin blah blah. Straight into Week 4 of Ripped in 30. I thought I'd better do it before I sat down and stayed sat sitting.
Got to dig spuds up for dinner now. It's all go innit.
