For my 1st post graduation run on Wednesday I did my usually route down a farm track just to make sure I could really run 5k and it wasn't a fluke!. (It wasn't)☺ This morning I left my comfort zone and ran through the village, I felt a bit self conscious to begin with but it soon passed. I ran 5k in 45 minutes, not the fastest runner!!🏃 My aim is to run 5k in 30 minutes. how hard can it be. Ha ha. ☺I must say it's more relaxing not having the pressure of time/distance. (sorry laura.!)🐵
Post graduation run.: For my 1st post graduation... - Couch to 5K
Post graduation run.
Well done i know what you mean about being self conscious but like you i soon got over it i've even seen the same old chap the last 2 runs outside having a cigarette at 6.30am and both times he has given me a thumbs up which boost your confidence a bit.
Well done! It doesn't really matter how fast you are at the moment, at least your doing 30mins of running, it will come. I've had the time down to 36mins, but varies a lot especially when hills are involved or if with someone, or out with the club, but as I said it can vary, depends on how I feel, lately have not been feeling great so has been up in the low 40s, but hey I'm getting out, managing 5k albeit on the slow side..😊
Glad you're enjoying it's!
Wow - I know it's easy to compare with others who are quicker but just remember how many of us aspire to be where you are!! Well done you 👏
