After the horrible wk6 run 1 where it really made me doubt I could do this (after the euphoria of wk5 Run3) today was totally different.
Got into a nice steady pace after the first five minutes and loved it; I ran for a whole 25 minutes!! Although when Laura piped up half way through with well done you've been running for 12 and half minutes I thought she was joking!!! Felt like I'd been running for twenty then! Lol
Roll on wk 7 and no more walk breaks, 3 weeks to go to graduation. I was thinking about the nice new things I could treat myself to when I graduate during tonight's run, haha perhaps that's what got me through!!
Wk 7 here I come!!!!!

Thanks Bamb. How are you feeling today? I've read from your posts you've had some niggles; hope you're getting better anx back attacking these runs soon x
Thanks it's definitely improving. Just a timing game now, don't want to start back too early, but I'm chilled I'll get there in the end. Still doing better than I could ever have dreamed of. I am running vicariously through everyone else's runs. Keep at it 🤗
That's great- glad the week ended on a high. Makes me feel more hopeful. I am doing rfl tomorrow will rest then do r2 and r3 next week. Hope to achieve what you have. Well done.
Great progress slinky minky fabulous getting through week six.. you now begin to know you CAN DO THIS!!! Still tough..always is.. but the buzz from making every run and beliving in the program gets srtonger.. loved that time
Keep up the good work and keep checking for advice.. listen to your body.. Keep to the program as much as you can.. use your rest days wisely..
Oh I'm definitely sticking rigidly to the plan, I now know that it does work and can and will work for me as long as I follow it through (someone who never ever thought she'd be able to run)
And I look on this site everyday for advice and encouragement. Today I laced my trainers in a special way following a post yesterday and it really made a difference x
You rocked it slinky, well done. It's kind of crazy to think that we are closer to the end than the beginning, look forward to hearing what's on your graduation treat list😆
I probably won't be able to justify everything; but I do think new trainers are mostly wanted ( needed to my oh) lol
And yes it's unbelievable how far we've come. I've started now to think what to do after this program as I'm the sort of person who needs a goal to work towards x
Week 6 Run 3 yesterday too. Found the run surprisingly comfortable, but long (treadmill runner). Old knees are very numb this morning though, wondering whether they'll manage week7 Run1 tomorrow; feels a bit too soon.
Yes; I found if quite comfortable, perhaps because we got into a nice steady pace? I'm a treadmill runner too. Can't bring myself to run outside just yet. I'll be taking 2 rest days now; will start wk7 on Tuesday.
