Dragged myself out of bed at 7.30am and went to the park for week 1 run 2. It was tough and a bit painful but I did it! I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I’m going to run for 90 seconds next week, let alone for 30 minutes solid 😂
Put stretches into practice today too so hoping that helps with the aching a bit.
My 6.5 year old son wants to join me for run 3 on Sunday morning. That should be interesting 😅

Well done Hbb1502, you’re off to a great start. Just follow the program and you’ll be amazed at how you can achieve each new run. 5 months ago I struggled to do week 1. Now I have just run non stop for an hour. Slow and steady and follow the plan. Happy running.
That’s what I said !! I kept saying my god it’s hard at 90 how will I manage 8 mins ever. I have just done 30 minutes...it wasn’t a walk in the park (literally) but I ran the whole thing. I haven’t yet done my second one yet. It’s so true it works I promise you. You will be amazed. I was helped by someone joining me. Well done 👍
Great job. Enjoy Sunday... I hope your son does too, maybe he will be a junior parkrunner soon, Sunday mornings aren’t the same without it. Don’t worry about the 90 seconds, you’ll be fine. Slow and steady as you go.
I felt the same a couple of weeks ago!
I'm surprised how my energy levels and stamina have increased already. I just completed W3R2 this morning. I go slow and steady and listen to the calm and reassuring voice of the lovely Laura on the NHS C25K app. She frequently reminds me that I can do it, so I now believe every word she says! I had thought of listening to the other coaches on there, but I now think she'd worry where I was....
A lot of people including me couldn't imagine running for 30 minutes at the start of c25k it just seems impossible, but trust the plan it just seems to work. Enjoy your run with your son that will be fun😊😊
