Week 1 Run 1

Hi, I did my first run today. I had stop exercising due to just lack of self confidence and good self image. I did my first run today and I feel really good. I did my warm up by walking halfway to the nearest park and I did most of my run at the park. I was quite embarrassed by how I had to stop after a minute, I thought that people would judge me because I only ran for a short while so I tried to avoid as many people as possible. I will do my second run tomorrow, I want to keep doing it so it becomes a habit and I don't just give up.

WTG ... don't be embarrassed or self conscious, remember you are running for you and anyone's else's thoughts or opinions are irrelevant...if people judge you, tell them to look in a mirror and judge themselves first!!

You did well today, you broke the first and most important barrier... getting the first run done..πŸ˜„

Remember to have a rest day between runs, you may feel on top of the world mentally right now, but your body will thank you for letting it recover.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. πŸ‘πŸƒπŸ‘

Hi @Aiminghigh yes I felt a bit odd when I did my wk1 run2 at the playing field on Monday: wondered what people would think if they saw me walking so much. After I got into it a bit (and no-one was watching me) I just felt proud that I was keeping going though! Even that was tough enough! Well done for completing your first run!

Well done you, starting program is the hardest bit!

Your confidence will build so quickly, I used to try running bolt upright trying not to to breath to deeply in case someone heard me, now I do what I have to do to get through week!

Keep going!

Congratulations on starting. Keep going. The buzz is addictive when you feel yourself improving.

Do not run tomorrow... you must take your rest days in between every run. They are absolutely essential to prevent muscle injury...This programme is geared to keep you running, and motivated, but, injury free:)

Well done you for starting this and for getting out there too! Folk are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice you... and if they do, they are probably jealous!

So.... next run...Thursday!
