why else would I get up at 4AM to eat two bananas and a slice of white bread soaked in honey??? - in preparation for my 7AM parkrun.

Well - it worked!!!! The idea was to stock up on some medium to High GI carbs before the run - normally I go to parkrun with a cup of black coffee in my stomach. I DID feel a lot stronger today and ran 31:20 - the fastest for about 6 months!! Fairly high average HR though - 90% of HrMax for 4.5 of the 5K!!
