Well done. You will be a runner in no time. I'm on week 9. I'm 46 and I also always wanted to run and different excuses got in the way until I found this app. It's amazing. Your gonna love it. Good luck. Xx
Thanks very much . I really hope I can do it this time . Such a big well done for getting to week 9 !!! That what I need to hear .
I get excited the night before a run and on rest days I plan my next run. .xx
Iβm going to aim to go out every other day .
What time of day do u run ?
I did this evening but I would like to try mornings. X
Yip! π
I am at Wk6r3. At the moment I am finding that the night before fills me with dread--can I do it-will this be the run that I can't do? And usually that has been an unfounded fear. I will be glad when I read the "excited the night before" stage. Please let me get there!!!
Well done! Enjoy the programme.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy the journey.
Fantastic! You've come to the right place. Lots of guidance, support and laughs along the way. Well Done in taking that first step. It flies by so quickly and you'll be smitten by the running bug before you know it. πββοΈπ¨
I really hope so π
Welcome to the forum! The program definitely works all you have to do is believe in it!
Thank u x
Well done πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Go Rebecca! Love the post! Yes you will be a runner! Already got run one in the bag in fact! ππ½ππ½ππ½Good on you! Well done. β€οΈ
Hi Rebecca. Well done on starting this amazing programme.
I was the same as you - always wanted to be able to run and envious of those that could. And now I can! I did a very slow but enjoyable 5k this morning (morning runs are my favourite). Keep going, you will love it π
Well done I've just finished week 1 feeling pretty good, really want to do this!!βΊ
Enjoy :-). I started the C25K after recovering from a hysterectomy, I'm now about to start wk 7 this evening. I never believed in a million years I'd do it, but we'll, here is am. I too run every other day unless there's a very good reason I can't. I tend to do evening straight after work but if OH is in days and gets up at 4 then I try to get out of the house by 6,30 at the latest. There's something refreshing about a run before work. Keep it up and look forward to hearing how you're doing
Hi well done and keep going.Im 50 and have just done my c25k graduation Park run and the next day I did The Race for Life. I never thought I would be able to do this. The help and encouragement from the Verwood Runners was excellent. Now bought the club tshirt .xKeep on running ππ€
Welcome to the club. Not just C25K, but the wider community. You will find runners of all ages and capabilities will welcome you and offer support and encouragement. We are Lesley aged 65 and me, Pete aged 67. We started running in February, mainly because we want to stay here as long as possible. But it has changed so much.
Being part of the running community has been fab. We both graduated C25K last month and have been on holiday to France. We found some really lovely places to run while away. But the one thing that was the biggest influence on keeping us going was the death of Matthew Campbell at the London Marathon. As sad as that is, the way the community has rallied around has been fantastic.
Go take a look at the Facebook page (link below) and get inspiration from that. Well done for getting up and out, you can do it, difficult though it seems at times. But just keep on keeping on.
Well done and keep going. I'm 62 and have completed week 7 earlier this morning. I have entered my first 5k run next month and can't wait.
Well done for taking the first step. First run under your belt. I completed C25k a week ago. I am 66 years old was 4 stone overweight. Nearly at my target weight. Since completing I have now run 2 5k runs. My first took 37minutes but last one took me 43 minutes but I kept plugging away and finished it. Intend to do two runs a week and try to get faster but the main thing is that I can be now classed as a runner
Well done on your first run , it will get easier.
Well done you have started 9 weeks ago could not run. Tomorrow is my last run in week 9 you can do it good luck .
Welcome and weβll done!! Iβm Fast approaching 50 and havenβt run since school, always hated it! Started with the app 10 weeks ago, graduated last week and have done four runs since. I wanted to surprise my kids, but I still havenβt told themππ. As others will tell you itβs quitw addictive, I now look forward to going out! I prefer the morning ones, I always find it harder after work. Keep up the good work!! π
Well done
Well done you π I am 62 and have never run before. I always thought I could not do it but this programme really works, I am on W9R2 now running for 30 minutes non stop. Take it slowly, make sure you have at least 1 rest day between runs and you will get there!
Well Done. I didnβt find the forum until week 7 ; youβll find it helpful and supportive
Hi Rebecca ππΌββοΈ I did my first run today π
Well done Rebecca enjoy the journey! You will be well supported all the way! Let us know how it's going! ππ
Good luck and enjoy it. The programme is fantastic and will have you loving running in no time π
Hi well done for starting. I remember my first week and couldnβt believe Iβd managed to run without feeling like I would collapse π€£ Itβs still hard but I can run for 20-25 mins now. Iβm 55 and struggling with the menopause. Better now back on HRT. Glad Iβve found this support network
Hi, well done! Good choice to do the C25K programme! As you I always wanted to be a runner and I tried several programmes and always didn't get far or run into knee pain. But finally with C25K I'm most of the time happy with my runs. And this week I'll start W8!!! I never thought that I will run 25 minutes (W7) and not looking like dying immediatedly! So, go on ... you will be a runner in some weeks! And if you feel you need to repeat a week, do it! I did it several times ... so week 8 is like week 14 or so for me. But I think it's better to repeat than to stop!
