I did my first W7 run earlier today. It was a glorious hot day, which perhaps wasn't brilliant for running, especially with the heat beating off the pavements and buildings on the Isle of Dogs, but I grimly pushed on and finished the whole 25 mins, even though the gremlins were tempting me to stop. By the end my legs were so tired that they were being driven purely by my bloody-mindedness! I hope the next run is easier.
W7R1 - triumph of the will: I did my first W... - Couch to 5K
W7R1 - triumph of the will
It's runs like this that build stamina and sheer bloody mindlessness. All good stuff 👍
I really struggled on W7 R1 but I had rested a week, run 2 was much better
Thanks for the encouragement, guys! It helps to know it won't always be such a struggle.
I'm only 2 runs ahead of you but today was the first day when I thought, actually I can see myself doing 5ks one day. When the 25 mins ended I did think hey I don't feel so bad right now and maybe I can do a bit further next time. I don't think this weather is helping much but it's such a good feeling to know I've improved. Well done us
Characterbuilding run! Well done. You are doing it!
You did it! Heat, pesky gremlins, achy legs, and you DID it!!!!
Just hang on in there... slow, steady and keep on going!
Sometimes... B***** mindedness is what get us through !

Fantastic Katie, Well done for putting those gremlins in their place !
Phew ! It was very hot today, you did brilliantly ! xxx
Oh those gremlins - little pests, I am glad you ignored them and carried on - the next run will be a lot easier!
Good going, that was really hot this afternoon.
I'm about to do the same run, but thankfully, it's a lot cooler now.
Well done Katie! They do get easier, your body always surprises you! Just like going from week 1 to week 2 its all possible and the hard work pays off really well
Well done you! Bloody mindedness got me through the programme too (that and caffeine ;o)
