W7R1 - triumph of the will

I did my first W7 run earlier today. It was a glorious hot day, which perhaps wasn't brilliant for running, especially with the heat beating off the pavements and buildings on the Isle of Dogs, but I grimly pushed on and finished the whole 25 mins, even though the gremlins were tempting me to stop. By the end my legs were so tired that they were being driven purely by my bloody-mindedness! I hope the next run is easier.

It's runs like this that build stamina and sheer bloody mindlessness. All good stuff 👍

I really struggled on W7 R1 but I had rested a week, run 2 was much better :)

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! It helps to know it won't always be such a struggle.

I'm only 2 runs ahead of you but today was the first day when I thought, actually I can see myself doing 5ks one day. When the 25 mins ended I did think hey I don't feel so bad right now and maybe I can do a bit further next time. I don't think this weather is helping much but it's such a good feeling to know I've improved. Well done us :)

Oh those gremlins - little pests, I am glad you ignored them and carried on - the next run will be a lot easier!

Good going, that was really hot this afternoon.

I'm about to do the same run, but thankfully, it's a lot cooler now.
