Hello all- a lovely morning for my first parkrun. I really enjoyed it, even though I was a little nervy at the start as I'm used to running alone rather than with 400 other people! I completed it in 33.08 and I'm pleased with that. Hope all of your runs are going well- enjoy the sunshine!

Wow!  That's really speedy - congratulations.  My first one last Saturday was a whole 10 minutes slower :D

Thanks! I thought it would be slower as I plodded along. I think that's the best approach! Well done on completing 5k. It's a huge achievement that the majority of people would seriously struggle with.

Well done, that's my problem.  Too scared to run with other people!  Will give it a go soon though! xxx

You really should- I wasn't confident about it at all but actually the other people made it for me. Some of the more experienced (much faster) runners really cheered us on for the last 5 minutes when things got tough. The applause and shouts of encouragement from the marshals was lovely too. Give it a shot- you won't regret it!

Good for you! I want to do one by the end of the month if I manage to graduate, but that's exactly what makes me nervous too! Not sure I am ready for others to see the state I'm in during/after running!

Believe me, you will be in good company! I am basically a running tomato after about 2k. You'll be fine- go for it.
