Headed out this morning for run 1 of week 2. Was really worried about the increase in the run time so was really glad the recovery walk was also increased. Had serious calf burn towards the end of the 2nd to last run which eased during the following walk but came back about half way through the final run. Pushed through and was really pleased to have completed it. it feels like such a great achievement πŸ˜„ off shopping today to find a decent sports bra. other half has decided he needs to accompany me in his capacity of chief bounce inspector πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ laters

Well done. You can do this.

Not sure having your other half along is terribly helpful - they are not the sexiest of garments!

Well done Chelle.. yes longer runs but less of them, right.😊

Make sure you drink some water to help your muscles and do a few leg stretches afterwards. Just a slow, steady jog then walking in between.

You can do this... good luck.

The new sports bra will make a difference too. πŸ˜€

Congratulations on getting through W1πŸ‘ Re: sports bras, if you are blessed(?) with girls above a D I recommend Shockabsorber bras. They keep my DDs comfortably in place (the bounce inspector may be a bit disappointed though).Β

Big nellies πŸ˜‚ Never heard them calls that before. Named mine Flo and Doris, seemed things that big needed names.

Hey Chelle, I did the wk2 run 1 today too- it's quite good fun (in retrospect!). The next run will be a breeze.

Good luck :-) due to do my second run on Wednesday.....fingers crossed calf burn gets better. Strength and flex will help I'm sure.

Hi Chelleuk. Yes, I feel your calf pain. I have been doing various exercises for a quite while, but not running. It is hard on the calf muscles because of pushing yourself forward. I have just finished week 2. Although cardio is ok, because Β of calf pain, and difficulty getting the runs in this week, I am repeating week 2. Hopefully , this will get the calf muscles into shape. I am in no hurry. Good luck.
