So today is my W6 R3 25 min day. The sun is out (although a bit cold but I don't mind that), we've planned a nice route to go visit and I'm all ready for it. Oh apart from the searing pain through my back to my glute. I really want to do it but it's a bit sore to move right now. Tried a bit of therapy ball massage on it which hasn't done much, tried a bit of pilates on it but nothing's helping. I just wanna run! :(

Oh dear, that sounds bad😮

Not sure if you should attempt this run today if you have backpain.. no point in injuring yourself further plus not even being able to have a successful run.

If it was me I would rest ..just walk today and see if it gets better. If you MUST run then just do a short one.

Do you know how you did it?

Thanks, I'm not sure, only thing I can think of is naughty posture while working at my PC yesterday. Currently if I put weight on my left leg my glute has a little cry. :(

Hmmm could just be a twist/spasm but Im no expert.

My worry would be if it hurts you may overcompensate and damage a knee by running 'differently'

Im sure there are others on here who have experienced something similar but my feeling is wait a day or two.

Hi bebabeba, been wondering if you ran or rested?

How is your leg feeling now?😯

Aww thanks for asking :) I took another rest day as even walking was a bit tough. Feeling slightly better today I went out and did it. Was the toughest run so far and could hardly walk by the end of it! By the time I got home my back was pretty achy again and hurt every time I move.  Perhaps another day rest might be been better but the frustration of not being able to go out and run was very real. At least it's a bank holiday tomorrow so will make sure I do actually rest tomorrow!

Aah.Well done that is a tough run. 25 mins done and dusted. Bit worried about your painful back. You are at the stage now where all the runs are non-stop. Do take a few days rest before pressing on. Best wishes x

Thank you! I'll definitely take it careful, it's getting better, I guess I must've just pulled something. It's been a good excuse to get the other half to make me cuppas as well so not all bad this resting lark!  ;)
