Really loved this run today. The first time I’ve thought ‘wow my calves aren’t hurting quite so much’ - thanks to loads of stretches and volterol pre run.
However in the interests of being honest I got caught short mid run and hAd to have a wild pee ! It was so embarrassing and I was in such a hurry for no one to see me on a very quiet footpath that I fell backwards into nettles Needless to say my butt is a bit stingy this evening
On the upside I finished the run and added two mins on for my painful stop 😂 feel amazing apart from the obvious 😂🤷♀️ It does count doesn’t it ??! Has anyone else got embarrassing stories ?

Embarrassing things that happened to me over the course of 9 weeks...
1)Slipped on ice and tried to look cool whilst trying to find my balance. Runner coming towards me was laughing at me....it was a little dramatic.
2) Crying whilst running... I did a post about this
3) I swallowed a fly whilst I was running but didn’t want to stop in case the run didn’t count and all the dog walkers must have thought I was on my last legs running and coughing.
4) I inhaled my own hair when the wind changed, it made me gag.
5) very nearly got run over by a tractor
6) Talking to myself out loud to make sure I was at a conversational pace. Not realising that there was someone behind me.
7) Having a dry mouth and needing to spit into the hedge (vile I know) being unsuccessful at spitting because I am a girl and ended up spitting on myself as the wind changed direction and landed on me (even more vile)
I’m sure I could think of a few more but hopefully this might make you feel a bit better to have a laugh at my misfortunes!
This is so funny!!!! Always nice to have a wildie in the bushes reminds me of good old childhood days! And glad you enjoyed your run 2 more to go ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
I know...it’s been like a journey so it’s normal. I feel like I am graduating highschool and leaving my mates behind 😂😂😂😂 stupid I know! Hope you enjoy the next 2 runs and hope we find our motivation for the next adventures 🤗
You are funny! Thankfully you are doing the embarrassing things for me so far - keep it up! Although I have to say the bin men in week one were very verbal with their “keep going love” by which I knew just how low my standard was !!
Like most here I've fallen when my toes caught on something, ie. a tree root or a joint flap on a pontoon bridge on the canal. In both cases I've just dusted myself off and continued running, totally ignoring the bump on the head or the bloody gravel in the knees.
Just last week I got a spontaneous clap/cheer from schoolkids queuing up at the start of their day as I ran past.
I have had "pee in the bushes" incidents whilst out walking, but never (so far) when running. That bit is easier for a guy than a gal.
