I had a great run tonight, 15k in 94 minutes. And theres a first time for everything... i fell over on my run. I am generally pretty uncoordinated but haven't actually taken a fall so far.It was on a dark stretch and very uneven footpath. I took some skin off both palms and scratched my arm a bit but otherwise ok. I think i did a bit of a roll and ended up on my side so i didn't hurt my shoulders or legs, thankfully.
Someone beeped me so it must have looked pretty funny! I got straight back up and kept running, assessing the injuries as i went. That was at the 8k mark and i finished the run alright.
Ce la vie!
I must remember to pick my feet up more in the dark!
Happy running.

Gosh well done on your time and distance brilliant, with a fall to contend with too you did very well. But what part of the world are you in that you are running in the dark just now!?! Hope your hands aren't too sore.
What a great distance and time, despite the fall! Am impressed you could get straight back to running I think I'd have been a wuss and used it as an excuse to turn round and go home.
Hope the scrapes / scratches are feeling better soon.
Lol yes it was definitely a stunt run! Hopefully not to be repeated again soon. Thanks for all the comments on time/distance. I've got a half coming up on the 16th so hope to do that in less than 2hr 20m... Fingers crossed. Yes Ali I am in Sydney, very observant, dusk us at 5.45pm at the moment so most of my running is done in the dark. I actually like it... You can't see how far you have to go! And it's much cooler. It got to 24 degrees yesterday and it was the second day of spring, we're going to be in for a doozy of a summer!
Hands are a bit bruised this morning but nothing I can't handle... Was a bit hard washing my hair last night with the scrapes though.
Ali I'm a bit of a stubborn bugger... I was about 5k from home and just had to get there somehow... It got easier once the shock had worn off too.
Well done Mair99 you rock girl. Good to hear you are none the worse for your tumble though it can sometimes take a day before the aches and pains set in, sounds as if you got off quite lightly. All the very best for 16th do let us know how you get on, will be watching for your blog. Its good to hear from you guys down under.
I really would love to do a half marathon one day but I'm so far off that now, really inspiring to read that you are well on the way & I send my very best wishes to you.
