Was away visiting family this weekend, but went prepared with my running gear. Did run 3 yesterday, and it was as hard as the other runs this week, but I managed it OK.
Legs are achey today (rest day), feeling it in the front of my thighs. Hoping to feel ok tomorrow for my first run of week 3! Can't imagine running for 3 minutes non stop, but I'll see how it goes!
Will be tracking my run for the first time tomorrow, using Map My Run, just because I'd like to see how I progress over the weeks. Has anyone else used something like this?
Wish me luck!

I use Runmeter which I think is similar, I like to see how far I have been and will be good to look back one when I finally graduate. Take it slow for the 3 minute runs and you will be fine.
Hello! Well done on getting through week 2, I'm on week 4 and can say for me the programme does work as prepares you for the next stage. Though it is not easy! I have used map my run and find it helpful in showing my route, distance gone, speed etc. My average speeds vary and tonight's was slower than last time. It's a useful tool but do they too hung up on it. I also find it can be hard to coordinate the leaving of the house and locking door with setting off both the correct podcast and map my run!! Good luck for week three. You will do it and will run for the three minutes!!
Well done! I completed week 2 run 3 today and found it really hard, so you're not alone!
I'm using the free version of Strava to map my runs, as I am trying to plan my routes a bit better particularly as I need to stay on the right side of the railway lines or I could give myself a very long route! I couldn't get map my run to download onto my phone but my brother, who runs a lot, uses it and swears by it.
Great to hear that you're prepared to go a little out of your way and pack for a run when you could have used the trip as an excuse to call off for a few days - sounds like a good habit starting to form already
I've got a few apps on the go at the moment, and still trying to work out which one(s) I like best. First and foremost is the FitBit app which uses the phone's GPS, and my FitBit tracker for step counts. Combined with the food diary options and weight measurement, it's helped me manage a sensible approach to what I'm eating and how I'm going about my particular weight loss journey.
I also fire up Strava, MapMyRun and RunKeeper each time I'm out. I like the functionality in the free version of Strava, but I like mapping options of MapMyRun better (Open Street Map seems to have more of my local paths/trails, and I've not figured out a way to change things around in Strava). I'm starting to fall away from RunKeeper, but I have a couple of friends who use it so it brings out the competitive side of me
Ultimately though, it's all about what works for you. All the above have free versions, they'll all use the GPS tracker in your phone (keep in mind that some phones are better than others when it comes to GPS), and you'll find they might be a bit more battery hungry than you're used to.
As for the running, slow and steady wins through every time
