Pre run ritual

Reading posts on the forum here gives me the encouragement.. and advice always needed when preparing for the next run in the morning..w4r2. Hoping it is a bit easier than r1 ... I feel relaxed and excited.. even though it was so tough.. have the added bonus of some new trainers and a new watch.. not anything fancy just one with a stop watch which I think may be useful as I can never judge how long left on a run.. even though it's only 5 min runs.. they feel like half an hour!!! I use the app not the podcast so don't get much conversation from laura! Thanks everyone x

You can do it Sparky, you are on a roll

Two coffees and a piece of fudge are my pre-run ritual, it's amazing how fast I can go when loaded with caffeine ;o)

I found W4,R1 hard as well, I had legs of lead, but, I've just done W4,R2 and felt like I even had a bit of energy in reserve on the last 5 minutes, so I think our amazing bodies just step up to the mark. Keep going :o)

Never too late to give the podcasts a go for the full NHS C25K experience!

My pre-run ritual is that I put on running underpinnings every run day and then peel off the top layer to reveal the inner runner. I also have to check my phone battery and the dog bag and lead and round up the hound.

I love the moment when I realise that I am actually going to go for a run (sometimes I've been a few minutes in the forest before that happens!)

well done on your progress... advice for your next run is remember to breathe, relax, good warm up walk and THE MOST IMPORTANT is to enjoy being outside, breathing in fresh air and feeling alive :)
