My husband has been trying to persuade me for years to start running as he thought I would enjoy it so I finally thought I would give it a go, so on 6th March I went for my first run with my new shoes and socks. After a few runs I decided I needed shorts, not leggings, and a new top (all the gear and no idea!). All went well with each run until week 5 and the 20 minute run - we were away and I had a couple of failed attempts due to not knowing the roads and finding very steep hills! Week 7 then became an issue for me, but then all clicked into place and I can now run for 30 minutes. I looked at week 9 when I started and never imagined I would be able to run for that length of time. I haven't yet managed to do 5k in 30 minutes but my aim is to continue building up my stamina to do this.
I feel fitter, have more energy, and am starting to tone up (still a loooong way to go here though).

Well done, SC1472 ! I love reading about people's C25K journeys, with all their literal ups and downs and things clicking into place. Enjoy your graduation run!
