LET WEEK 5 COMMENCE !

Fairly terrified of this week...although run 1 went well and I even managed to sprint the last minute. However the prospect of managing 20 minutes non stop by Run 3 is really daunting. I know I shouldn't doubt the programme, as so far I have worried about the increase each week but managed to achieve it. It certainly seems to be mind over matter as I always seem to find the extra puff in the last run :)

I think we all felt like that, I certainly did, but you know what? Laura has prepared you for it, just go slowly and pace yourself, you can do it!

Thanks for the re-assurance ! I will let you know how I get on. It's nice to know I'm not alone :)

You will amaze yourself when you do it, but you ARE ready and you CAN do it. All you need to do is believe in yourself and have confidence in Laura.

Slow, steady and trust in the Laura!

Most of us felt exactly the same, and lived to tell the tale :)

Go for it!

W5 is exciting. :) You get out there and tell yourself you can do it. Keep slow and keep your head up, you can definitely do it.

I felt the same but everyone is right. You are prepared for this. Just completed wk5r3 and the feeling of achievement is fantastic. You can do it!!

Everyone is scared of week 5 run 3 - but you CAN do it, Laura says so, and so do all the runners on this site who have been where you are now and succeeded. Best of luck, and keep going regardless.

There is no doubt you can do it , the previous weeks have built you up to do it :)

We all looked at that run and thought "you cannot be serious" and then went out and ran it :)

Sliw n steady is the key :) good luck but know you don't need it

W5R3 is a turning point. We all look at it and think "20 minutes, the most I've done so far is 8". But you've done that 8 twice and 20 isn't that much more. Just take it slow and steady and you will do it. The sense of elation at the end of that run is the highlight of the whole programme!

Good luck, we're all rooting for you!

Wow...thank you everyone for your messages of support and encouragement..it really helps :)

Off to do run2 of week 5 tonight...and really looking forward. :)
