Week 5 run 2.

Today was a tough one mentally. Feeling tired in my legs as I’ve been moving classrooms this week which has involved carting crap from one room to another one at the other end of school.

I also woke up after a not so peaceful night’s sleep. A conversation with a friend had been left unresolved the night before which meant having to deal with the outcome of that today. Throughout the night my brain was trying to play out the scenario in ways that I could handle the situation with grace and not do the usual British thing of avoiding the other person or just not talking about it. No answers.

Cue run for some very much needed headspace this morning. Let the battle of personal, physical and running (8mins consecutively) gremlins commence.

First 8 mins- no problem. A touch tired on the legs but otherwise ok. Feeling a bit stronger mentally but still confused.

Next 8 mins-hit the hill which is always tough and actually cried out vocally (a first) to try keep going!! Good job there was nobody around to hear me.

Also nearly cried when MJ congratulated me at the end and said I should be proud. God I must be feeling emosh!! 🙄

Overall not bad run. Feeling a bit calmer. Whether this continues later remains to be seen.
