Week 3 done πŸ˜ƒ

Well today I have done run 3 of week 3 so a third of the way through now.Defo think that run 2 was the hardest but was the day after my swim so maybe reason it was a hard run.

Anyway next one is week 4 and a it looks like 16 minutes of running in total which is a full 7 minutes more or nearly double week 3 or am I reading it wrong? If I am reading it right then I can feel an absolute snail pace coming on to do that 😞

Well done on getting a third of the way through, week 4 is indeed 16 minutes in total but you will do just fine and nothing wrong with a snail's pace if its gets the job done. I'm slower than a snail crawling through peanut butter but I still run. Good luck and keep us all posted :)

I just posted! I've found week 4 hard :( I can't go slower and 5 minutes is beyond me at the moment but think I will probably just repeat until I get passed the mind-gremlins! Good luck :)

jt24 - just read your post, well done on your weight loss so far that is the kind of number i have to lose and a fair bit more to get near my ideal weight! Week 4 looks daunting but week 3 did and i managed it... just think that we need to do this together figuratively speaking all being well I will start week 4 on Monday and post on here see how it goes.

Don't worry Butch ! Slow is good, no need to worry about speed, pace etc . It's really not important :-)

As Laura says " It's just a gentle jog "

Good Luck ! :-) xxx

Yep, snail pace it is. I tried to do W4 at the same pace I did the previous weeks and found I couldn't. So for runs 2 and 3 I just went slower from the start and fared better. Good luck!

Definitely works to go slow enough to keep going. I did that and graduated and now run at a reasonable speed, so don't worry that you can be too slow

The longer runs give you a chance to settle into a steady rhythm which you can't do on the short ones. I was dreading it too but found it no harder than week 3. Week 5 next for me ....
