I feel like a warrier…..Week 3 is history - bring on Week4!!!
I've found that I'm always on a 'runner's high' AFTER I finish a run - never mind the physical and mental gremlins that scream out loud BEFORE and DURING my runs.
So, I stuck to my usual route except I flipped it which worked well as the upward slope became a downward slope - by doing a left-to-right loop instead of the other way round....yaayy!!!
I increased my speed a tiny little bit at the back of my last experience - which definitely got my heart rate pumping; but not to a point where I was gasping for breath....so, although I'm a bit more achy than the last 2 runs; I feel great for pushing myself just a little bit more within reasonable limits to still keep a steady pace and making it all the way.
It's addictive....and I love the happy endorphins.....(god knows I need them!!!)
So - all in all, a fabulous Week 3 with a bit of a blip in the middle - but definitely done and dusted!!! Week 4 - here I come!!! (Gulp....lol!!!)

Yeah - I thought about what you said - that I could try and push myself if I wanted to; and decided that I would without compromising the whole experience.
Thinking of changing my username to PearlsOfWisdom lol, you just keep doing what you are doing, you know what you want to achieve, you increasingly know what your body is capable of and are prepared to challenge yourself within a sensible set of boundaries, keep it up!
Joking aside, W4 had quite a step up in the amount of running, so take it nice and steady, focus on finishing and that sense of achievement will grow and grow, for me it was about this time of the programme that I started to get on top of the gremlins, didn't listen to them when they told me I needed to stop running, for me this increased self belief and positivity has been the biggest benefit to me, and I suspect will be for you to
5 mins.....yes, I'm trying NOT to think of whether or not I'll just fall into a heap when I try that during my first run of Week 4...…..but, I trust the program, because if you had told me that I would be able to run 3 mins without stopping before I started C25k, I would've told you that you needed your head checked....lol!!!
I'm glad that i'll be starting Week 4 on a Saturday - I can actually mentally prepare a bit for it rather than try and fit a run into my crazy weekday schedule.
I've noted everything you've said - thank you for the pearls!!!
You were definitely on my mind today - I did pass more people than normal today and began feeling a bit self-conscious....but then remembered how you dealt with the situation - so, I imagined all of them naked struggling to do the moonwalk/bionic impression - laughed in my head and carried on running.....!!!!
PS: That's was a tip I was given to get over my fear of public-speaking; imagine everyone naked and then you'll feel amused enough to realise they're all just normal people and talking to an audience then comes naturally......lol!!!
Invested in brand new Asics after doing a gait analysis after my Week 1 stint Made all the difference to my subsequent runs!!!
However, they only had one colour in my size - Bright Neon Orange/Pink (at least that's the only way I can describe it!!!) Being one partial to neutral colours.....was definitely a shock-horror moment for me....but I took the plunge....and after the kind of support it provides my feet, they are actually growing on me....kind of!!! lol!!!!
I'm learning quick!!!! I've been looking at running clothes to buy eventually - and everything comes in bright neon colours - so, I'm going to look like a carnival gone mad after a few weeks.....lol!!! But.....the key thing will be me RUNNING like a real runner!!!!.....so I'll just embrace the colours 😂😂😂
