Just go for it, you'll be fine with Laura. You can always repeat a run but it's worth giving the next one a go. Don't worry about speed, just focus on keeping moving. It's not really about reaching 5K, lots of us don't achieve that until well after the 9wks, I resembled an exhausted snail on many runs. it's really about completing 30 minutes. Stay positive.
lol "exhausted snail":)) made me smile! guess your right positive thoughts week 4 imma coming ! thanks for reply
agree with blueboots, just go for Wk4 it will be alright
Hi,
I had much the same experience in the early weeks, repeated weeks 1 and 2 because I didn't feel up to moving on, and just about survived week 3. It was touch and go whether to repeat week 3 or to move on, but I bit the bullet and started week 4.
I'm glad I did, because in each case the transition between weeks was much milder than I'd feared, but at the same time, those repeated weeks weren't wasted either (I'm not being much help here, am I?).
And don't worry about the big differences between successive runs, I was just the same in the early weeks, but as time has gone on (she says from the lofty heights of week 7) those differences seem to flatten out, which is nice :o)
thanks guys for all you comments taking them all on board, will update you on week 4 next week
Go for week 4. Look forward to hearing how you get on
I reckon if you kept running, however slowly, then go on to week 4. A day or so's rest (which also gives your brain time to adjust to the idea) makes a huge difference. You will be so exhilarated when you do it!!
I find it good to repeat just one run rather than a whole week if I am not feeling up to it - you prob. don't need to really but it builds confidence and if you think like that you can just repeat w4r1 if it's a struggle. Good luck
