2nd 10km race - done

2nd go at a 10km race this morning. This time in Hyde Park. Still pretty warm even with a 9.30am start. Lovely route through the patk - lovely and flat too! Went off a bit too quick at the start and felt a bit wobbly at about 7km so did a bit of walking. Almost went the wrong way at one point too! Finished in 1 hour 22 - 3 minutes faster than my first 10k a couple of weeks ago. Feel OK but in need of a treat so tea & crumpets in Harrods for me!

Well done 😀

Great Sharon. Well done you! Hope you enjoyed the well earned tea and crumpets afterwards :-) I have just entered my first 10k event in January, so eagerly reading everything I can on this forum to try and get a few tips!

Who said tea and crumpets? I'm there. Very well deserved Sharon and I bet they were yummy! Lovely bling and a big well done for the 3 minutes off.

Very well done. Tea and crumpets at Harrods! What a brilliant carrot to dangle in your brain while you're running. Think I may ask the old man to treat me to tea and Fat Rascals at Betty's after next weekend's race.

Thanks everyone. It was a great day. It was advertised as a Girls Only Run with men allowed provided they dressed up. I bloke turned up - dressed as Snow White. Completed the course in 50 minutes! The frock didn't hold him back!!
